Armenia tire rack project

A tire and automotive supply customer in Armenia needed a better way to store and distribute larger tires at a lower landed cost. Their previous 60-inch rack specification was no longer wide enough for the larger tire sizes demanded by the local market, and the existing supply model did not give them enough pricing power or shipping efficiency.

We supplied a 72-inch heavy duty tire rack solution designed for larger tire sizes, optimized the loading plan for one 40HQ container, and helped the customer achieve full container utilization with 134 sets loaded in a single shipment. The result was a stronger product line, lower freight cost per unit, and better market competitiveness.

72-inch tire rack

The customer was not simply buying racks. They were trying to solve a commercial problem.

Their previous 60-inch rack line had two limitations. First, it did not fully match the larger tire sizes becoming more common in Armenia. Second, the supply chain was not efficient enough to give them strong pricing control in the local market.

For a distributor, this creates a direct business risk: if the product size is too small, the warehouse solution becomes less useful; if the freight cost is too high, the final selling price becomes less competitive. The customer needed a rack specification that could do both jobs at once: improve storage compatibility and reduce landed cost.

We recommended our 72-inch heavy duty tire rack as the right fit for this market.

Compared with the previous 60-inch model, the 72-inch rack provides more usable storage volume and better compatibility with larger tires. It is designed for heavy-duty commercial use, with an approximate load capacity of 1,000 kg per level, and it supports fast stacking and easy end-user assembly.

More importantly, we planned the shipment around the customer’s cost structure rather than just the product itself. By optimizing dimensions, packaging, and loading sequence, we fit the order into one 40HQ container with 134 sets loaded at full capacity. That gave the customer a much lower freight cost per unit and a stronger basis for wholesale distribution.

Why This Solution Worked

Better fit for the local market
The 72-inch specification gave the customer access to a wider range of larger tires, which made the product line more suitable for current demand in Armenia.
Lower landed cost
Full container utilization meant the shipping cost was spread across more units, which directly reduced the cost per rack.
Stronger pricing power
By sourcing directly from the factory, the customer avoided intermediary markups and improved their margin flexibility in the local market.
Faster end-user assembly
The insert-tube design allows quick assembly without complicated installation work, which is important for distributors and downstream buyers who value speed and simplicity.

Project Highlights

This project was valuable not because of the shipment volume alone, but because it improved the customer’s business model.

The customer now has a product line that better matches local demand, a shipping structure that lowers unit freight cost, and a factory-direct supply source that supports wholesale margin. In practical terms, that means the customer can sell a more competitive product while protecting profitability.
